Wild Iris
Named for the flowers that were blooming when she was born in May, Iris is a Pepper and Salt Giant Schnauzer with natural ears. From Skanson Kennel in Sebastopol, her father is Skanson's Silver Dollar, an International Champion.
Like a shadow, Iris is never more that a few feet from us. Her primary task is to take us for a long walk on the beach each afternoon--in other words, to keep us moving. She is shown here on a windy day in the Samoa Dunes.
